Trails And Ways – Nunca: Summer Indie/Electro Original

You know, maybe it’s just the awesome almost-summer weather outside but I’ve really been feeling the latest wave of indie/electro releases hitting the scene. Today I’ve got the latest tune from Trials And Ways titled Nunca off their upcoming Trilingual album release. Featuring some seriously upbeat summer vibes and a catchy chorus with nuances of some electronic layering into the vocals and guitars, this is best enjoyed by a beach, drink in hand. Enjoy!

Kyau & Albert – I’ll Be There For You (Mt. Eden Remix): Awesome Dubstep

Ah who’s ready for a little bass? Mt Eden (formally known as Mt Eden Dubstep) is a fantastic electronic duo hailing from New Zealand, that while typically are pretty chill in their releases tend to be pretty heavy live. Their take on Kyau & Albert’s I’ll Be There For You, is a perfect blend of the two, hitting you hard with crunchy bass lines and glitched out synths, while still giving an uplifting atmosphere to this awesome track. Turn it up and enjoy!

Band Of Horses – The Funeral (Sound Remedy Remix): Indie Electronic

I feel like W&W has featured Sound Remedy’s amazing remixes so many times I’m running out of images. From Nirvana’s All Apologies to Neil Young’s Old Man to Ko Ko’s Floathe’s been killing the chilled out indie/dubstep/electronic fusion scene and again does not disappoint with his latest mix of Band of Horses The Funeral. I’ve enjoyed the original since the day it came out, and this is simply the perfect summer electronic twist to give it a fresh sound I’m sure everyone is going to love if you’re looking to relax. Kick back and enjoy!

Deadmau5 – The Veldt (Shane Martz Remix): Chill Electronic Insturmental

Wow it’s been almost a week since the last post, sorry about that everyone, ultra busy Memorial Day weekend. Anyways, I’ve got a nice midweek remix courtesy Shane Martz, one of my favorite upcoming electronic producers for his work on Pretty Lights’ Finally Moving and his original True Colorsgoing over Deadmau5’s The Veldt which W&W featured about a month back. The original was great in it’s own way, but Martz does a nice job adding a little more electro and some cool bass lines, eliminating the vocal track, and condensing the 8-minute behemoth into a 4 minute jam perfect for the afternoon. Kick back and enjoy!

Sleigh Bells – Demons (Diplo Remix): Rock Meets Dubstep

Diplo remixing Sleigh Bells into a filthy jam? I’m pretty sure I could just stop at that, but this epic remix of Demons was just unleashed upon the world along with the equally over the top official video for Sleigh Bells original track. Diplo puts his signature spin on the rock n’ roll original, transforming it into a creeping mess of crunchy bass and lazer sharp synths to make for one of the more unique sounds I’ve heard in a while. A must have for fans of either artist, turn it up and enjoy!

The Melker Project – Say Hello Vs. Because (Jay-Z v The Beatles): Unique Mashup

I’ve really been lacking on the mashup posts in the last couple of weeks, I guess nothing has really caught my ear until this little gem. I know very little about The Melker Project, but I think his description about sums this one up:

When you find a rare Beatles acappella you are morally obligated to use it. “Because” is an incredible song – 3 voices, recorded 3 times to create a 9 part harmony. “Say Hello” is also amazing. Perhaps my favorite track from “American Gangster.” Throw in a little T-Pain and you have a recipe for amazing.

Couldn’t have summarized it much better, so just kick back and enjoy a sunny afternoon.

The Wanted – Chasing The Sun (Hardwell Remix): Fantastic House

Well it seems the cool thing to do these days is remixing The Wanted, though Hardwell has really nailed it above the other mixes I’ve heard with his high-energy take on Chasing The Sun. Featuring uplifting synths and utilizing the vocals to accent the electronic work, the track drops straight into fist pumping territory about half way in that’s sure to get you moving. Kick back and turn it up for your dose of some sick progressive house, it seems Hardwell can’t be stopped at rising to the top.

Eliot Lipp – The Sunset: Chill Electronic

Pretty Lights Records continues to add to their amazing roaster of artists almost every week it seems, and today I bring you their newest addition, Eliot Lipp. Incorporating everything from jazz to hip-hop to electroinc, funk, techno, and everything in between, his first single The Sunset is a chilled out voyage through ever complicating rhythms and beats. From PL’s Derek Vincent Smith:

“Eliot has been an inspiration and a friend over the years. We have played more than several shows together and whether there’s 5 or 5000 people in the crowd, Eliot knows how to rock the party. The new style on Shark Wolf Rabbit Snake made it obvious that it was time for the two of us to team through PLM. He manages to stick with the style he has developed while leaning more towards classy good feeling electro hip-hop, and that, after all, is what I’m all about”

Enjoy the sample of what’s to come, and if you like what you hear be sure to pick up his full album Shark Wolf Rabbit Snake dropping tomorrow completely for free. Enjoy!

At Dawn We Rage – Ravey: Fresh Dubstep Original

Today I’ve got a fresh new track from one of my favorite names in heavy dubstep, California’s own At Dawn We Rage. They recently released Ravey as a thank you to their many loyal fans, and this track hits you in the face with constantly pumping synths but a decidedly laid back bass sound. Not too far off from some Zeds Dead tunes, Ravey is just an all around great progressive dubstep number, so kick back and enjoy!

YLUV – Never Touch The Ground (Gazzo Remix): Sick Electronic

Today I’ve got the latest from my favorite up and coming producer, Gazzo, who takes YLUV’s Never Touch The Ground to a whole new level of electro/house glory. W&W previously featured Gazzo’s first EP, Welcome To Cloud 9, a fantastic mix of 4 different bootlegs sampling from the best names in electronic, and now he’s back again with a super high energy electronic jam ripe for the summer. Every production I’ve heard from Gazzo has such a polished sound, I can’t wait for a full album or another EP to hit the scene. Until then, kick back and enjoy!
