Week of 4/22: Alex Young, Alex Metric, Griz, DJ Green Lantern, Willy Joy, and more!

Happy Monday everyone! Seems that Spring is finally making it’s way to the North East, and with that, some changes are afoot here at W&W. I’m going to try experimenting with a new format to deliver more awesome music then ever before, but there’s a catch. Posts will be 2x per week, with a 5-track Monday pack to kick off things off, followed by a shorter set on Thursdays (depending on the week’s releases). Instead of reviewing and posting every track individually, I’ll be giving a quick overview of what may (or may not) melt your face, along with some updates from the EDM world. Speaking of, TomorrowWorld travel package tickets go on sale Wednesday at 11am EST, so don’t forget!

To start things off, Alex Young delivers a steller chill trap remix of BenZel’s Fallin’ Love, followed up by some electro/synth-pop goodness straight from the always-on-point Alex Metric with Scandalism. The immortal DJ Green Lantern breaks down Griz’s hit Too Young For Tragedy into a trippy-trap number, while Hucci & GameFace give a serious rework to the classic California Dreamin’ with The Leaves Are Brown. Finally, for a fresh throwback Team Bayside High & Willy Joy partner together to bring back 2001 with a filthy bootleg of the Basement Jaxx’ Where’s Your Head At. Let me know your thoughts about the new format in the comment section, and as always, enjoy!
