Deadmau5 – The Veldt (Shane Martz Remix): Chill Electronic Insturmental

Wow it’s been almost a week since the last post, sorry about that everyone, ultra busy Memorial Day weekend. Anyways, I’ve got a nice midweek remix courtesy Shane Martz, one of my favorite upcoming electronic producers for his work on Pretty Lights’ Finally Moving and his original True Colorsgoing over Deadmau5’s The Veldt which W&W featured about a month back. The original was great in it’s own way, but Martz does a nice job adding a little more electro and some cool bass lines, eliminating the vocal track, and condensing the 8-minute behemoth into a 4 minute jam perfect for the afternoon. Kick back and enjoy!

Shane Martz – True Colors (Original Mix): Sick Electronic

1

Hey all, so today I’ve got a sick new track from Shane Martz, the guy who brought you the epic remix of Pretty Lights’ Finally Moving. Laying down the ground work for what could turn him into the next big producer, Martz just released his first original tittled True Colors and it rocks. Featuring a lot of Pretty Lights-styled electro work, the track seamlessly blends chill, spaced out vibes with heavy hitting bassy crunch, dabbling in the Glitch and Hip-Hop genres to create one of the best originals I’ve heard this year. Kick back and enjoy!

Pretty Lights Double Dose – Wayfaring Stranger (Electro Mix) & Finally Moving (Shane Martz Remix)

So today I’ve got a double stack of Pretty Lights tracks that are sure to improve your Sunday. Originally featured on W&W back in November, the Grammy sponsored collaboration Wayfaring Stranger (produced for the upcoming Re: Generation music project) was a unique fusion of Pretty Lights’ chilled out electronic with the traditional country vocals, guitar, and style of LeAnn Rimes & Dr. Ralph Stanley. I always found the original to be a little too mellow and lacking in electronic elements, and it appears Pretty Lights aka Derek Smith flet the same and has released a redone “electro mix” of the original that features just the right amount crunchy glitched out bass that you want to hear, such an improvement.

Next, I usually don’t like remixes of Pretty Lights but I’ve finally found one that puts a great spin on the already amazing Finally Moving. Little known Shane Martz takes the original and draws everything out, accenting the bass while somehow making the whole song a more spaced out trip through guitars, piano, and synth that I’m really digging right now. Kick back and enjoy!
